Welcome to The Fubar Institute of Hopeful Affairs,
The Fubar Institute of Hopeful Affairs is a talent management company. We were founded on the belief that hope is a practice that exists through the dovetailing of community and decolonialism. We value collaboration, the anti-, the margins, being in but not of, love, regret and learning and being on the run.
Currently, our roster includes a punk-inspired performance artist who loves nonsense and untranslatability (Seala Fubar), an LA-based fashion artist creating a new aesthetic future (Hectorina Balenciblabla), a public health academic inspired by criticism, creativity and community (Dr. Hector Mackie), and a film photographer committed to telling our shared story (Leonardo DiSnapRio).
We represent and platform our clients across community partners, galleries, publishing platforms, universities, and film centers. We are pleased to have supported our talent in receiving prestigious international grants, appearing on national television, delivering resources to communities, remaining shrouded in mystery, securing book contracts, and being exhibited in galleries. We look forward to building on this success.
